A charming antique essex crystal pin. The miniature painting of the cat becomes three dimensional with the cabochon rock crystal set upon it. The outer edge of the pin is embellished with gold rope twist detailing.

A fine work of art, reverse intaglio pins, or essex crystal pins became very popular in the Victorian era. The condition of this pin is exceptional, as the day it was made.
