A Victorian George III Guinea Bangle

An interesting Victorian bangle. The bangle is formed of a central George III Guinea coin, which formed the lid to a secret compartment! Possibly originally housed a photograph, as there is a removable outer sleeve of gold which would make this possible! The central coin compartment is flanked but strong royal blue sapphires and an old cut diamond motif. The trifurcated shoulders lead lead to a continuous open wire work design. With hinged and integral safety catch with an additional safety chain. A very interesting bangle indeed!
