A magnificent and rare pair of clip earrings signed by Repossi — the celebrated Monegasque jeweller whose work has adorned royalty and the most discerning collectors for generations. Made in the 1960s–1970s, each earring is formed of a large white South Sea pearl of approximately 14.15mm — an exceptional size — set below a three-dimensional diamond-set bow motif of considerable sculptural quality. The bows are set with 54 diamonds totalling an estimated 1.5 carats, the three-dimensional form giving them a depth and presence that flat pavé cannot achieve. At 20.5g the pair has real substance. Signed Repossi with Italian maker's mark to the reverse; French eagle head hallmark to the sprung clip fittings, confirming French import. Attached to French clip fittings.
