A beautiful Art Nouveau brooch in gold, c.1910, combining natural pearls and old-cut diamonds in a design of characteristic organic elegance. The centre is formed as a trefoil motif of two old-cut diamonds and a natural pearl emerging from a stylised gold leaf — a composition that perfectly captures the Art Nouveau love of nature rendered in precious materials. The gold frame is set with a graduating row of natural pearls ranging from 4.6 to 2.4mm, adding lustre and movement to the overall design. An estimated 0.35 carats of diamonds throughout. A refined and wearable piece of Edwardian-era jewellery.
