The body of the brooch is formed from a single piece of carved nephrite jade — predominantly deep green with warm tones of brown and orange blending to one side, giving the stone a remarkably lifelike quality. The midrib and veins of the leaf are rendered in white gold with a satin-textured finish, set with seven eight-cut diamonds totalling an estimated 0.10 carats.
