A distinctive Victorian door knocker brooch in 15ct gold and turquoise, dating to circa 1860–1880. The large gold panel is decorated with six evenly spaced nail heads, framing an articulated turquoise-set knocker at its centre.

A natural pearl terminal completes the design. The movement of the knocker gives this unusual brooch a lovely character, with the turquoise providing a colourful contrast to the gold.

Presented in its original box from Rowlands & Frazer of 146 Regent Street, this is a wonderfully individual piece of Victorian jewellery.
