The head is set with a Tahitian pearl at the centre, surrounded by a border of six old mine cut diamonds of an estimated 0.2 carats in total in claw settings — the deep, warm grey of the Tahitian pearl providing a striking contrast to the bright scintillation of the old mine cut diamonds. At 1.1 × 1.1cm, the head is perfectly proportioned for a lapel, cravat, or morning dress tie.
