Pavé setting — from the French for paved — is the technique of setting stones so closely together that the metal beneath is almost entirely concealed, the surface of the ring becoming a continuous field of diamonds. This ring is fully pavé-set with an estimated 4.5 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds in 18ct white gold, the exterior of the band covered from edge to edge with stones, the effect one of uninterrupted, all-around brilliance.

The interior of the band is embellished with floral-shaped cut-outs — a detail that is invisible when the ring is worn but which speaks to the quality of the making: the cut-outs reduce the weight of the band, improve comfort on the finger, and add a decorative element that only the wearer knows is there.
