A signed David Yurman Albion ring in 18ct yellow gold, dating to circa 1990. The centrepiece is a large faceted Green Orchid stone of 12.28 carats — a lemon citrine doublet over hematite, the combination producing a deep, saturated green of remarkable intensity that is quite distinct from a natural green gemstone and entirely characteristic of Yurman's Albion collection. The stone is surrounded by a halo of round brilliant cut diamonds of an estimated 0.45 carats in total. At 22.1g and 2.1 × 2.2cm, this is a ring of commanding scale and presence. Hallmarked 750 David Yurman.
The Albion collection is one of David Yurman's most celebrated and collectible designs — the large faceted doublet stone in a diamond halo in 18ct gold, signed and hallmarked, is a piece that exemplifies Yurman's bold, sculptural approach to fine jewellery design.
