A fine 15ct gold and bloodstone signet ring. The signet ring was made in the mid Victorian period and is a lovely example of this traditional type of jewellery. To be worn everyday, the signet ring has beautifully scrolled gold work and a lovely bloodstone oval set to the centre. Bloodstone has the famous legend that it was formed when Jesus Christ was crucified and the red flakes represent his blood, true or otherwise, it represents birth and life!
